You know me for Catios, but I do a lot of things for people. I build and sell Deck Repair, Garage Shelves, Bird houses, Doll houses, and little libraries. These are things I like doing, I have a wood shop so I have space to build a lot of different things.
If I come to your house for a Catio, you might want to talk to me about these other services. For things like Shelves and Decks, I already have the tools there. So it is best for you to have it done then. I don’t have to set up and take down my load in of tools.
Hello, You have prob looked at the photos on Caitos Of Texas and have seen my work. I want to tell you about other things I do for people or have done for them in the past.
I have done a lot of deck repairs over the years. I kinda like doing it also. I do not get as much into building decks, I have built them, but I prefer to repair them. So many people think a deck needs to be ripped out and put a new one in but most of the time that is not the case.
I have built a lot of garage and barn shelves. If you have junk all over the floor of your garage, and the little shelves that you buy at the box stores are not cutting it. You prob need real shelves. They make all the difference in the world. They also last forever in the house. Looks nice, highly functional and custom to your needs. From storing big boxes to really small ones, shelves make your life so much easier and clears up your brain. It just makes you feel good.
Chicken Coops are something that most of us want. Nothing like having chickens. They tend to become pets to people in town. And kinda a little bit more fancy. They have a lot fewer chickens. If you get 6 eggs a day they can really add up fast. If you have a big family or have people to give them to that helps.
The country can be the same, but it may or may not be fancy. You can have a lot of chickens, sell eggs, and have baby chicks. When we moved here in 1978, my dad, mom, and I made a chicken coop. Then my dad ordered 100 Road Island Red Babies by mail. I will say we had a lot of fun with them. We also got 10 Turkeys. Over the years we had all kinds of chickens, and Ginnies. We also had lots of bees. First time we robbed them we got about 50 gallons of honey. We just have cows now. But over the years we have had up to 150 meat goats, Lammas to protect them.
What I am saying is if you want a cool chicken coop made I can do that for you. If you want something cheap go to tractor supply. They have many to choose from and are cheap. Prob made in china, but if you are not hard on them they will last a while. You can find out if you really want to have chickens. These you will need to want a chicken coop in the DFW area. Or a chicken coop in the North Texas area. But I will travel to most areas to build chicken coops in Texas, and Oklahoma.
I see a lot of people with these igloo dog houses that are cheap and work but they sit in the sun. That sucks for the dog. Winter is better that nothing. But if you want to have a nice out door house with some shade for it and to keep rain off them, I can do that for you. If you leave your dogs out side all year make them something nice. Don’t put them on a chain. If your going to do that don’t get a dog. That is what I think. I will work with you to make something that is nice. Or buy something cheaper in a store. You can buy basic houses for them at a reasonable price. These you will need to want a dog house in the DFW area. Or a dog house in the North Texas area. But I will travel to most areas to build dog house in Texas, and Oklahoma. I will prob build most of it at my shop.
I like making little libraries. First, it can help the area around you. Second, it was a great idea that someone came up with. I feel it is important to put books out to expand their mind, learn about the world, or have fun reading, even if there are a lot of photos—or even comics.
If you have ever considered making one or making a DIY Little Library yourself, do it. Only good comes out of it.
Yes, I know it’s odd. But lots of people have turtles now. I made one that was 4 by 8, and it was like a little sin garden. It had a home and little things in it. These people told me they would live about 75 years. But they cannot be free; they have a good home.
Yeah, I have made a few of them. If you have a bird you want to be outside, or if one person had pigeons, they let them out. At the end of the day, they flew around and came back home. I build a large pigeon cage for them.
The reason I say simple is that if I were to make something with a lot of detail, building a doll out like that would cost a little bit of money. They can go up to 5 to 10k, depending on how big and how many other houses surround them.
If you want one that is simple or very elaborate, I can build it for you. We just need to work out the details you want.
